This policy is provided in accordance with the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 and applies to all residents, visitors and contractors using the common parts of the building.

The fire risk assessment for the property states that the building has an evacuation strategy in the event of fire. Residents should therefore leave the building immediately if they become aware of a fire or, where a fire alarm system is fitted and activated, on hearing the alarm.
